Accessibility
Parlor is supposed to be an open door — not a locked one.
We want everyone to be able to browse ParlorWear.com, find what they're looking for, and get where they're going, regardless of how they navigate the web. That means we're working to make this site usable with a keyboard, readable with a screen reader, and easy to see and understand for people with a range of vision, hearing, cognitive, and motor abilities.
Our standard
We're building ParlorWear.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized benchmark for an accessible website. That covers things like:
- Alt text on images, so screen readers can describe what's there
- Enough color contrast to read comfortably
- A site you can navigate fully by keyboard, no mouse required
- Clear headings, labels, and structure throughout
Where we are
This is ongoing work, not a box we checked once. As we add pages, products, and features, we test and review them against these standards. If something on the site doesn't hold up — a missing label, a contrast issue, a form that doesn't play well with assistive technology — we want to know about it and we'll fix it.
